I am originally from Ealing; in the west of London. In my spare time I enjoy writing, photography, sketching, painting, spending time with family and friends, travelling, walking, hiking and gardening.

I hold a 'Distinction' level Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy; my qualification is accredited by the Royal College of Nursing.  I am also accredited by The National Counselling Society and I am an Associate Member of The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).  I hold qualifications in Management and Commissioning and I have achieved almost sixty specialist training courses.

While working in the private sector, until 2002, I gained valuable experience in some of the UK's top companies; alongside which I volunteered for ten years to support the homeless in London.  I left the private sector in 2002 and since achieved years of experience counselling people on a wide range of issues, including supporting victims of hate crimes and sexual assault.  I represented Croydon Council's Equalities Unit at the Association of London Government; developing policy and legislation aimed at improving equality for disadvantaged people.

I became Service Manager of Croydon Community Drug Agency for Cranstoun Drug Services; becoming one of London's most successful addiction therapy services and achieving recognition, at the time, as the lead for 'service user involvement' in London.

I relocated, with my partner, from London to Suffolk in 2007; to become a Commissioner of addiction treatment services for Suffolk Drug and Alcohol Action Team.  I also worked with Suffolk County Council's Equality and Diversity Unit; developing a hate crime victim support service in Suffolk.

Recently, I worked for the NHS, where I managed two Primary Care teams within Suffolk's Adult Drug Treatment System.  The Shared Care Team supported patients on methadone maintenance and reduction programmes and the Blood Borne Viruses Team provided blood testing, vaccinations and treatment for a variety of blood borne viruses; including Hepatitis B and C.

Since 2008, alongside my main work roles, I started my own private counselling, psychotherapy and clinical supervision practice; which you are now looking at on this web site.

My private practice has continued to grow and has helped people achieve successful outcomes to a broad variety of personal issues and difficulties.  I am now fully self-employed through my private practice.

One of my major clients is a leading charity that provides residential, therapeutic treatment to people who wish to overcome addictions and behavioural problems; most prominently substance misuse.  This client agency is called Focus12 and I am commissioned to run the service, as Consultant Project Manager.  To learn more about Focus12, please see: www.focus12.co.uk

I have a wealth of experience to offer, a good sense of humour and am pretty unshockable.  So, if you are interested in finding out if counselling or psychotherapy may help you, please contact me.

Alternatively, if you are a Counsellor or Psychotherapist and you would like to find out more about what I offer as a Clinical Supervisor, please do get in touch.
